TechIsland Summit 2024 - Mentors' Hub powered by Capacitor Partners

TechIsland is gearing up for the fourth edition of its annual TechIsland Summit, an all day event designed to inspire, share knowledge, and exchange actionable ideas. The TechIsland Summit will take place during the Reflect Festival on 30 May, and will feature two key activities.

The Main Stage will host a series of engaging panel discussions and keynote speeches, under the theme: "Tech-Driven Cyprus: Cultivating a Competitive Economy". These sessions will focus on how Cyprus can enhance its role as a regional tech hub by leveraging the expertise of the highly skilled tech specialists currently on the island, particularly in the realm of emerging technologies. Additionally, this year's summit introduces an exciting new side activity: the Mentors’ Hub, an exclusive event for startups, powered by tech and strategy consulting firm Capacitor Partners.

Startups around Cyprus have the opportunity to pre-book one-on-one meetings with experienced mentors across diverse specializations, including Investors, Founders, Product Specialists, Growth Specialists, and CTOs. These meetings will take place in a specially designed space during the TechIsland Summit and will have a predetermined duration and a structured agenda based on the needs of each pre-selected startup and the expertise of the mentor. The aim of these sessions is for startups to receive tailored advice and guidance on refining their strategies, overcoming challenges, and seizing growth opportunities to propel their businesses forward.

TechIsland’s General Manager, Tanya Romanyukha mentioned that: “At TechIsland, we are always looking for ways to support entrepreneurs and foster innovation, which are a vital part of a strong tech ecosystem. That’s why this year we decided to expand the format, and as a result the impact of the TechIsland Summit, by introducing this new side event exclusively for startups. We are happy to join forces with Capacitor Partners, for our Mentors’ Hub activity, and connect startup founders with experienced mentors, who can offer them the guidance they need to propel their companies forward.”

Michael Tyrimos, Managing Director of Capacitor Partners, emphasized the firm's commitment to innovation and support of local entrepreneurship. He stated, 'We are proud to power the Mentors’ Hub at this year’s TechIsland Summit. A key part of our mission is to catalyze growth and support the Cyprus startup scene to its fullest potential. By facilitating essential knowledge transfer and networking opportunities, we strive to empower entrepreneurs to excel in the country’s evolving digital landscape.”
