Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Capacitor Partners collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Who we are
Capacitor Partners is a technology and operations consultancy with its headquarters in Nicosia, Cyprus, and an office in Athens, Greece. For anything in this policy, and for any request about your personal data, write to hi@capacitorpartners.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us, plus the technical basics any website needs.
- Contact enquiries. Your name, work email, company, the topic you select and the context you write.
- Chaos Score assessments. Your answers, the resulting score and breakdown, and, if you request an assessment call, your name, work email, phone, company, role, industry, company size and revenue band, and anything you write in the note field.
- Newsletter sign up. The email address you enter.
- Career enquiries. Whatever you send us by email, including your CV.
- Technical data. Your IP address, browser type and pages requested, processed by our hosting provider in server logs so the site can be delivered and kept secure.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To answer you and to follow up on an enquiry or an assessment request. Our legitimate interest in responding to people who approach us, and steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- To send research and field notes, if you subscribed. Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To consider you for a role, if you applied. Steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and understand aggregate usage. Our legitimate interest in running a safe and functioning website.
- To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations where they apply.
We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for automated decision making that has a legal effect on you, and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and assessment requests: up to twenty four months from our last contact with you, unless a client relationship starts, in which case the record is kept for the life of that relationship and for six years after it ends for legal and accounting reasons.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
- Career applications: twelve months, unless you ask us to remove them sooner.
- Server logs: a short rolling window held by our hosting provider.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with the service providers that make this site and our work possible, each of them acting on our instructions under a data processing agreement.
- Website hosting and content delivery.
- Our database, where enquiries and assessment submissions are stored.
- Our email delivery provider, used to notify our team of a new enquiry and to reply to you.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it.
Where your data goes
Our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the European Commission standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard. You can ask us for details of the safeguard that applies.
How we protect it
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in access controlled systems. Submissions from this website are never readable from the browser, only by our team through authenticated access. Access is limited to the people who need it to do their work.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to another provider in a portable format. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and you can withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis we rely on.
Write to hi@capacitorpartners.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus, or to the supervisory authority in the country where you live.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and local storage entries, none of them for advertising. The cookie policy sets out exactly what is stored, why, and for how long, and how to change your choice.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
