Context
Fuel retail was never a software business. That changed.
Fuel retail has always been a business of forecourts and transactions, not software. When Petrolina (Holdings) Public Ltd, one of Cyprus' leading energy companies with one of the country's largest service station networks, looked ahead, it recognised that the ground was shifting. Customer expectations were evolving, loyalty programmes were going digital and AI was beginning to reshape the way energy companies operate. Petrolina set out to build the digital foundations for its future growth. What began in early 2022 with the MyPetrolina app grew into a sustained advisory relationship, with Capacitor Partners supporting Petrolina's Marketing Department throughout its digital transformation journey.
01
Product management
Through its Product Manager as a Service offering, Capacitor Partners supported the Marketing Department as an embedded product function.
Operations, customer support and development were coordinated through a single product cadence rather than separate workstreams.
Structured monthly insight cycles combined analytics with direct user feedback, informing the roadmaps the department set for the app.
02
People and AI readiness
Capacitor Partners designed and delivered a three-session programme, AI in the Energy Industry: From Fundamentals to Practice.
Nearly 70 professionals across the business built their own AI literacy, from fundamentals through to applied practice.
The programme closed with a hands-on simulation in which cross-functional teams made live AI decisions for their own areas.
“What we value most about Capacitor Partners is the way they work alongside us. Across everything from our digital platforms to building AI literacy across our teams, they carry the expertise and structure we are looking for, while the strategic direction and decisions remain our own. It is a partnership that has helped Petrolina move forward with confidence, and one we expect to carry well into the future.”
Georgia Lefkariti, Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, Petrolina (Holdings) Public Ltd
